HIV Test & Visa Certificate

This test is for anyone who requires a HIV test certificate as part of a residency visa application if you’re moving to a country that requires one. It’s also useful if you require a HIV test for any reason, where you need certification to prove you’re HIV status.

This test is carried out using a blood sample, collected from one of our clinic locations nationwide. In order to gain a certificate you’ll also be required to take your Passport with you to your appointment so that our nurse can verify your identity.

Results for this test will usually be available three days after your appointment, but may be returned quicker depending on which clinic you tested at. If you need your certificate quicker, please contact us and we’ll do whatever we can to speed up the process.

This test offers accurate results from 28 days following potential exposure to HIV, however for visa applications this is usually not relevant.

This test is only available as a clinic test. By selecting a clinic test you’ll be assisted by a nurse or doctor in one of our sexual health clinics located across the country.

If you require a certificate of your results it is important that you bring photo ID. Failure to bring your ID means we can’t verify your identity and we won’t be able to give you a certificate.

When you arrive at the clinic and you’ve shown your ID to the nurse, they will draw a blood sample for testing. Our nurses are all professionally trained to use a needle.

Once you’ve deposited your sample, we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll notify you of your results using our online portal as soon as they’re reported by the laboratory. You can then download your certificate or we’ll send it to you by post or email.
