If you’ve previously slept with someone who has tested positive for Chlamydia, you should get tested to ensure you aren’t also a carrier of the infection. If you’ve not necessarily been told you have Chlamydia but have had unprotected sex, then this rapid Chlamydia test, combined with our Profile Tests, is a great way to get a clear picture of your sexual health status.
All Chlamydia tests are carried out using swab samples that will be collected at your clinic under the supervision of a nurse. For anyone with a vagina, this will be a vaginal swab. For those with a penis, this will be a urethral swab. We’ll then test for Chlamydia antigens (a sign of a positive infection) using your samples while you wait.
This test has one of the quickest turnaround times on the market, taking only 30 minutes to gain accurate results. For extra peace of mind, we’ll also send a confirmatory sample to our laboratory for a more thorough analysis, which is completely free of charge.

A trained clinician will assist you in collecting your sample before testing it on-site using the latest state-of-the-art testing panels, ensuring fast and accurate results.

Our clinics are all based in a discreet setting and because many of them are general health clinics, there’s no reason why anyone will know that you’re there for a sexual health screening. Just let the receptionist know who you are upon arrival and they’ll pass you over to one of our friendly clinicians.
This same-day Chlamydia test requires a swab sample to gain accurate results. For men, this involves a urethral swab and for women, this requires a high vaginal swab. Most of our clinics require you to take the sample yourself, but you will be given full instructions upon arrival at the clinic, making the process as easy as possible.
Once you’ve deposited your swab samples, you’ll be asked to wait in the clinic waiting room while the reagent has time to react to your samples. For this test, it can be up to 30 minutes. Once a short time has passed, the clinician will notify you of your Chlamydia test results.
Can You Get Instant Chlamydia Results?
Yes, you can. The test is accurate from two weeks after exposure and uses an easy swab sample to test for the infection.
Do Instant Chlamydia Tests Actually Work?
Results in under half an hour may sound too good to be true, but instant Chlamydia tests do actually work! On average, instant Chlamydia tests are 86% reliable in terms of sensitivity, and 97% reliable in terms of specificity. This is comparable with most standard STD tests.

Can Chlamydia Be Tested For Immediately After Exposure?
No, it usually takes at least 5 days after exposure for Chlamydia to show up in a test. However, sometimes it can take much longer, so to avoid false negative results, we recommend waiting for 14 days before getting tested for the most accurate instant testing results.
Do You Offer Instant Tests at Home?
Unfortunately not. Whilst we do offer home Chlamydia test kits, it takes up to two days to receive your results after we receive your samples at our lab. If you’re looking for results straight away, you’re better off booking our instant Chlamydia test at one of our clinics in the UK.
What Sample is Needed for an Instant Chlamydia Test?

Can Our Instant Chlamydia Test Detect Other STIs?
No, this is a test specific for Chlamydia only, so even if you have been infected with other STIs, they won’t show up in the results.
